Vancouver fire crews contain natural gas leak | Local News

VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) – Firefighters say a gasoline leak needed to be contained early Tuesday morning after a contractor broke a pure gasoline pipeline.

The Vancouver fireplace says Engine 8 was despatched to report a pure gasoline leak at 3:36 a.m. at 305 Southeast Chaklov Drive, Cascade Park Plaza. When the primary emergency providers arrived on the scene, they observed a robust scent of pure gasoline.

Crews remoted the scene and denied entry to a big space south of Mill Plain Boulveard round Southeast 117th Avenue because of excessive ranges of pure gasoline in close by buildings and surrounding streets. The Vancouver Hearth Division’s regional HazMat workforce was introduced in, together with sources from Northwest Pure Fuel.

The leak stopped at 5:16 a.m. and folks had been allowed to return to shops when the gasoline stage dropped to zero.
