VANCOUVER, WA – On Tuesday, Vancouver Clinic management met with PMB, FZS and Andersen Construction for a small socially distant groundbreaking celebration to mark the start of their latest expansion project. The three-story, 75,500-square-meter building is scheduled to open in November 2022. It will be opposite the parking lot of the existing Salmon Creek site.

“We are excited to build a new Ambulatory Surgery Center with six state-of-the-art operating rooms to enable our providers to offer more outpatient procedures,” said Chief Executive Officer Mark Mantei. “We’re also introducing extended hour emergency care if you’re sick or injured and don’t want to wait all night to be seen.”

In addition to Urgent Care and the ASC, the $ 70 million project will include offices for orthopedics, pain management, physical therapy, podiatry, foot and ankle surgery, and sports medicine. Other clinic specialties will also use the operation center.

“As a doctor and surgeon, I am excited about the plans for this new building,” said Dr. Casey Cornelius, orthopedist. “It will be equipped with the latest tools and technology so that we can provide patients with the best possible care.”

Last month, Dr. Cornelius performed the clinic’s first off-hospital outpatient knee replacement surgery at our 87th Avenue Outpatient Surgery Center. The patient could go home the same day to recover safely and comfortably. The expansion of the surgical capacity will allow us to offer more procedures in the same day to meet the growing demand.

“Building this facility is an investment not only in the future of the Vancouver Clinic, but also in our Clark County community,” said Dr. Keren Rosenblum, CEO of the Vancouver Clinic. “The clinic is honored to have served in southwest Washington for 85 years. This is our home. We are here to keep your family, friends and neighbors as healthy as possible for years to come. “
