If you have a favorite in season 17 of The Bachelorette, you might want to learn more about The Bachelorette 2021’s elimination order and spoilers to see if your front runner makes it to the finals or is one of the unlucky dropouts on the first night.
Katie Thurston, a 30-year-old bank marketing executive from Renton, Washington, was announced on the March 25th special “After the Final Rose” for The Bachelor, starring Matt James as the 17th season Bachelorette. Katie was a contestant on Matt’s season and was eliminated at # 10, making her one of the earliest bachelor or bachelorette elimines to star on her own season. (Michelle Young, a 27-year-old teacher from Edina, Minnesota, was also announced as the Season 18 Bachelorette. Her season will premiere later that year.)
Katie filmed season 16 of The Bachelorette at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa in New Mexico from early March to late April. Instead of Chris Harrison, her season was hosted by Season 16 Bachelorette Tayshia Adams and Season 11 Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe.
In her bachelor’s bio for Matt’s season, Katie said she wanted a man as “daring and adventurous” as she is. “Katie knows exactly what she wants from a man and wastes her time with guys who don’t meet her expectations,” says her biography. “She’s a funny storyteller who says that when she finds someone worth getting involved with, she’s the most loving, dedicated partner anyone could ever ask for. Katie is brave and adventurous. “
Her biography continued, “Although Katie is serious about finding her person, she needs a man who can laugh with her, but it’s okay for him to laugh at her too when the moment calls for it. Katie is looking for a mature man who has the ambition to be successful in everything he does, both personally and professionally. Your dream man will be passionate about building a long term life with her and will treat Katie as his own in the relationship. Nothing puts her off more than someone who sits around playing video games all day or a guy trying to kiss her at the inopportune moment … it’s all about creating the right atmosphere with Katie!
A source told Us Weekly in April that Katie was “in control” of her season and knew exactly the man she wanted. “Katie was in control, making sure the men she wanted were there and the men she wasn’t interested in sent away,” the insider said. “[Filming] went great and it was completed a week ahead of schedule. “The source continued,” Tayshia and Kaitlyn relate to Katie’s trip that you are about to see in many different ways, so it was nice to have her there to take in to help every situation. Tayshia was having fun and loved doing it. You and Katilyn were a great team. “
