Richard G. Heydet, 87, died on February 24, 2021 after a short sickness. He leaves Sharon, his 51 yr outdated loving spouse; Sons Dick (Niki) and Bob (Ashley); Grandsons Parker, Lilly, Bobby and Blake; and lots of nieces and nephews.
Richard has loved his house in Fairway Village in Vancouver, Washington for 16 years. In Vancouver, he volunteered for Neighbors on Watch (NOW) for the police; as a courtesy driver for the VA well being middle; and SMART with the town. He additionally organized village volunteers for the Stroll-n-Knock Meals Drive for years and was secretary of the Males’s Golf Membership.
Richard led the creation of the Fairway View Condominium Group Gardens 11 years in the past, which has grown to 25 flowering backyard areas. An avid fisherman, he was a member of the Clark-Skamania Fly Fishing Membership and loved exploring the lakes and rivers of the Pacific NW.
Richard grew up in Bronxville, New York, the youngest of seven youngsters. He spoke fondly of his childhood and that her house was at all times the middle of exercise within the neighborhood. He graduated from Syracuse College with a BA and served two years within the Military in Ft. Knox, Kentucky. He was a Deer Park Metropolis Councilman, Chairman of the DP Metropolis Planning Fee and the Metropolis Parks and Recreation Board. He was a Rotarian and Paul Harris Fellow for 23 years.
Richard has performed on quite a few softball groups through the years, however he’s seemingly most remembered as his sons’ largest fan at actually lots of of soccer, baseball, basketball, and soccer video games. In retirement, he loved weekly poker video games, golf, traveled with Sharon, and watched his grandchildren do sports activities.

A funeral mass might be celebrated on Tuesday, April sixth at 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Vancouver, Washington.
