Police arrest suspect in deadly Vancouver shooting; victim identified | Local News

VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) – Police say they made an arrest in reference to a deadly capturing in Vancouver.

Vancouver police stated the officers responded to a name at block 5200 on East Fourth Plain Boulevard at round 2:24 p.m. Tuesday.

When officers arrived, they discovered an 18-year-old man, recognized as Trevonta Billie Steven Burks, who had been shot and died on the scene.

At round 3:00 p.m., police reported to an emergency room for a person who had a gunshot wound in his hand.

In keeping with police, the person, 20-year-old Antoine Steven Archer, was later taken to an area hospital for therapy.

In keeping with police, the investigation revealed that Archer and Burks, who knew one another, had a verbal argument that turned bodily. Police say Archer then shot Burks and unintentionally shot himself within the hand.

Archer was arrested and positioned within the Clark County Jail. He’s threatened with homicide II prices.

Archer is because of seem in court docket on Wednesday morning.
