Oren Keith “Butch” Painter handed away peacefully at dwelling in Woodland, WA on Saturday October 16, 2021.

He was born on March 25, 1939 in Longview, WA to Walter and Ella Painter. He grew up on Mt. Brinyon and attended Kelso faculties. Butch was a military veteran serving in Korea. After 31 years, he left the NCR in 1994 and was then a faculty bus driver at KWRL from June 2007 to Might 2021.

He liked touring, particularly to the seashore, was a member of the Battle Floor Rose Float Affiliation for a few years, and was liked by his many family and friends.

Butch preceded his dad and mom in loss of life; his beloved spouse of 53 years, Mona; his brothers: Clyde, Stacey, and Vic Painter; his sisters: Elsie Cook dinner, Edith Hooper and Louise Smart; in addition to his younger daughter Devon Painter.

He’s survived by his daughter Shawna Garrett of Woodland, WA; his grandson Matthew (14); and granddaughter Rebekah (10); his brother, Roy Painter (Rosemary) from Kelso WA; his sister Wilda Moore of Portland, OR; and quite a few “favourite” nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Butch’s closing resting place is by Mona’s aspect within the Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vancouver, WA.

A memorial service adopted by a potluck dessert reception will happen on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. within the Salvation Military Chapel, 1639 tenth Ave Longview, Washington 98632. Flowers could be delivered to the chapel within the week from October 24, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or Friday from 10 a.m. to 11.30 a.m., Monday to Thursday.
