Police: Attempted car theft preceded fatal shots in Vancouver
A man who was fatally shot and killed by a newspaper carrier on the Vancouver waterfront on April 17 was carrying a hunting knife, police say, but court records do not show that he brought the gun out before the shot.
The man, identified as 29-year-old Kin K. Bossy, attempted to steal the wearer’s car when he was shot multiple times, according to an affidavit filed in Clark County District Court on Tuesday.
Kelso man faces theft, burglary allegations in Ilani casino robbery
A Kelso man excluded from ilani reportedly made $ 12,500 in chips after breaking into the casino Tuesday morning, disguised in a gray wig and construction vest.
However, the alleged thief, identified by police as Lucas Daniel Levi Bunn, did not get far. He was found near a gas station across Interstate 5 where, according to court records, he was stun gun and arrested.
The Landmark Red Lion Hotel will make way for new projects at Terminal 1
It’s almost check-out time for the former Red Lion Hotel Vancouver at the Quay.
The red-trimmed riverside building with its massive roof sign stands west of Interstate 5 Bridge and has been one of downtown Vancouver’s most prominent visual landmarks for decades. It’ll be gone in a year.
Prosecutors from across Washington will be investigating Jenoah Donald’s assassination
The investigation into the shooting of Jenoah Donald, a black motorist who was killed by a Clark County MP, is under scrutiny by a state prosecutor to create a new step in the independence of the review process.
The panel was established by the Washington Association of Prosecuting Attorneys to assess whether the MP’s actions were legally justified. Donald’s case will be the first to be reviewed under the new model. The panel includes elected prosecutors from Lewis, Yakima, Pend Oreille, Snohomish and Pierce.
