Delsie M. (Steele) Laney, 88, of the Marion Heart, died in her residence on Tuesday, July 13, 2021.
She was born in South Mahoning Twp in 1932. to F. Glenn and Mary Mabon Steele.
Delsie was a member of the Graystone Evangelical Presbyterian Church and the Foster Mother and father Affiliation.
Ms. Laney was educated as an obstetric nurse and each she and her husband Elmer grew to become foster mother and father for kids and adolescents and Catholic charities for 30 years.
She cherished taking care of infants, knitting, gardening, spending time together with her household and pets.
Survivors are 5 organic kids, Russell Glenn, Marion Heart; Elizabeth Marie Waters and husband Roger, Vancouver, WA; Linda Jean LaRosa and husband Patrick, Orange, CA; David Scott and spouse Sharon, Marion Heart; John Michael and spouse Cecile, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; three foster kids Lilley Blystone, Latrobe; Invoice Blystone and Mrs. Ruthie, Clarksburg; Nancy Dunmire and husband Jim, Saltsburg; eight organic grandchildren, certainly one of whom “Charity Laney” was their fundamental caregiver; six foster grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one anticipated.
Her mother and father, husband Elmer in 2007 and a brother Haldean G. Steele in 1938 preceded her in loss of life.
Pals are welcomed to the Bowser-Minich Funeral Residence, Indiana, on Thursday, 2 to 4 and seven to 9 p.m. and on Friday, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., at 1:30 p.m., with Rev Micah McMillen officiate. He’s buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana.
