MUSCATINE – Gerlinde Maria Martinez, 70, from Muscatine, died on Thursday, November 4th, 2021 in her home.

The funeral will happen on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. within the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers funeral house. Reverend Sharon Phillips will officiate. The funeral will happen on the Grünwald cemetery.

Gerlinde was born on November 2, 1951 in Schweinfurt because the daughter of Ivan R. and Gertrude Boche Day. She married Ernesto E. Martinez Jr. on February 12, 2007 in Muscatine.

She labored for Seaboard Meals in Guymon, Oklahoma for eight years. She cherished working as a CNA in retirement properties.

Gerlinde appreciated to go to bingo and went to church, the place she was a lay preacher for the Jesus Mission. She additionally volunteered for the Pearl Metropolis Outreach. Gerlinde cherished her canine Zoey and hung out along with her household.

Her mother and father precede her in demise; her husband, Ernesto ‘Ernie’ E. Martinez Jr .; and grandparents.
