MUSCATINE – Gerlinde Maria Martinez, 70, from Muscatine, died on Thursday, November 4th, 2021 in her home.
The funeral will happen on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. within the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers funeral house. Reverend Sharon Phillips will officiate. The funeral will happen on the Grünwald cemetery.
The go to will happen on Friday, November 12, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. within the funeral house. Gerlinde was born on November 2, 1951 in Schweinfurt because the daughter of Ivan R. and Gertrude Boche Day. She married Ernesto E. Martinez Jr. on February 12, 2007 in Muscatine.
She labored for Seaboard Meals in Guymon, Oklahoma for eight years. She cherished working as a CNA in retirement properties.
Gerlinde appreciated to go to bingo and went to church, the place she was a lay preacher for the Jesus Mission. She additionally volunteered for the Pearl Metropolis Outreach. Gerlinde cherished her canine Zoey and hung out along with her household.
She leaves behind her kids Jose ‘Joe’ Cogdill and his companion Deb Roser, each from Muscatine, and Fredrick Cogdill from Vancouver, Washington; a number of grandchildren; her particular grandchild Nia Brockert and the remainder of the Brockert household; She actually cherished hanging out along with her great-nephews Carson, Hayden, Cameron, and Braxton; she cherished them like they had been her personal grandchildren; her siblings Ivan L. Day and his spouse Donna, each from Davenport, Fred G. Day and his spouse Evie from Muscatine and Renate Day from Muscatine; a number of nieces and nephews; Ernie’s kids Esperanza Brockert and her husband Tim, each from Muscatine, Jesus Martinez and his spouse Julia from Muscatine, Anita Ramirez from Rock Island, Illinois, and Nancy Ash and her husband Dean from Muscatine; and she or he cherished Sharon Phillips and her kids Robin Wade, Gerianne Reichert, Jessica Phillips and Isaiah Phillips, whom she was very near and can miss them dearly.
Her mother and father precede her in demise; her husband, Ernesto ‘Ernie’ E. Martinez Jr .; and grandparents.
